Overview... a devious White Wizard. Though he was once the righteous leader of the Wizards of Middle Earth, Saruman couldn’t resist the great power of dark magic. Now he merely pretends to be a force of good in the world, while secretly plotting to help evil Lord Sauron return to power and take over Middle Earth by leading an Orc army for Sauron’s war.
Personality... commanding, cunning, and immensely powerful. Saruman wasn’t born evil; he initially used his intelligence and power to promote peace. And even after being corrupted by dark magic, Saruman is no cackling, maniacal villain. Instead he uses his regal presence and shrewd tactical mind to meticulously plot the downfall of Middle Earth.

Young hobbit Frodo Baggins, after inheriting a mysterious ring from his uncle Bilbo, must leave his home in order to keep it from falling into the hands of its evil creator. Along the way, a fellowship is formed to protect the ringbearer and make sure that the ring arrives at its final destination: Mt. Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed.

The video game adaption of the acclaimed film of the same name, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is a follow up the well received adaption of the first two films in the trilogy. The game expands on what The Two Towers accomplished, with the action and adventure sequel introducing three separate story lines from the movie: one following Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, as The Two Towers did, another following Gandalf, and a third following Frodo and Sam, with Merry, Pippin, and Faramir serving as unlockable characters. Gameplay features were also expanded upon, including multiplayer.

The players control the heroes or villians from the famous Lord of The Rings movies. With a hero characters similar to the Warcraft series you control both the armies and all the unique heroes. The game follows the movies very closely and even got scenes from the films appear in game. Not only does the game contain a giant campaign where you play through the journey of the ring as the good side, the game also features an evil campaign where as the players play as the evil forces of Middle Earth. With multiple diffrent races from all over Middle Earth, a giant spell tree to customize your game and a unique basebuilding layout the game was great for its time.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria is the first retail expansion pack for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online. The storyline is set in Moria, an enormous underground complex in north-western Middle-earth. Apart from that, the expansion also adds the region Lórien. The game's level cap has been increased to level 60; and the expansion (also called "Volume II") extends the Epic storyline by six more books, and adds two new classes, the Rune-keeper and the Warden. Other new features include environment aware AI, dynamic lighting, and a new weapon enhancement system.

The Lord of the Rings: White Council was a role Playing video game based on the high fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, however on February 2, 2007, EA announced that the game had been put on an indefinite hiatus, and to date no further information has been released. The action was meant to take place in a massive open world where you can go anywhere you want, and the characters in this world were to be powered by an incredible simulation AI based on the same technology used by the makers of The Sims 2. The story of the game was to be built around a series of Story Quests.
