Hotline Miami is a very fast paced two dimensional top-down shooter/slasher set in the 80s Miami, where you play as an unnamed character with the objective of ending everyones lives with different melee or ranged weapons while wearing an animal mask. The player starts with one mask but different masks, each with a unique effect, are unlocked as the game progresses. After each mission the performance of the player is graded and he is given a score, which can unlock new masks and weapons, if the score is sufficiently high.
In Call of Duty, the player has two primary weapon slots, a handgun slot and can carry up to eight grenades. Weapons may be exchanged with those found on the battlefield dropped by dead soldiers.
