Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. His mother passed away from a car accident when he was younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and cigarettes. This results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a fight. Since then, Tomoya has had distant relationships with his father, causing him to become a delinquent over time. While on a walk to school, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating due to illness. Due to this, she is often alone as most of her friends have moved on. The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction.

Saved by the Bell follows five best friends during their time at Bayside High School in Los Angeles. Slater, the amiable jock, to Screech the lovable geek, to Jessie Spano the feminist scholar, to Kelly Kapowski the teenage dream girl. At its best, the show was aspirational, showing a school that had almost zero ties to reality, and seemed to exist in some happier Day-glo universe. You either knew people like them, or you wanted to.
The Amanto, aliens from outer space, have invaded Earth and taken over feudal Japan. Accompanying him in his jack-of-all-trades line of work are Shinpachi Shimura, a boy with glasses and a strong heart, Kagura with her umbrella and seemingly bottomless stomach, as well as Sadaharu, their oversized pet dog.
The Legend of Korra follows Korra, who is an Avatar. This means that she has a lot of responsibilities—keeping peace on earth, saving the world, keeping the spiritual world and the physical world connected, etc. Frankly, it's a lot. Fortunately, Korra just has to master the bending of air, and she'll have all four elements under her belt. Unfortunately, she doesn't get along with Tenzin, her airbending teacher.
Along with his Captain James T. Kirk and the rest of his crew, Mr. Spock is in the midst of a five-year mission exploring the final frontier and "boldly going where no man has gone before." Spock's Vulcan heritage leads him to suppress his emotions and let logic lead his life. This is especially helpful in his role as advisor to Captain Kirk, who has a tendency to dive into situations without thinking them through.
