Grew Up… shuffling through a string of foster homes. Caleb can’t remember a time when his parents were in his life, but he did have an aunt and uncle whom he spent time with when he was little. It’s pretty obvious this is where he gets his tortured eyes and abandonment issues from.
Living… anywhere he can spend a night away from his foster home. Alas, the one he’s landed at most recently is not the warmest environment. Rather than face his foster parents, Caleb would prefer to sneak around town in search of any flat surface to lie his head.
Visiting… the Marin home, surprisingly often considering the bickering between Hanna and Caleb when they meet. Sometimes Hanna’s mom knows Caleb is there, but more often than not, there’s some sneaking around. This is Rosewood, after all.
Profession… amateur (but very skilled) hacker. Caleb offers his technological services to the students of Rosewood High – for a price. It’s a lucrative business, and it proves there’s more to Caleb than just being the hottest IT guy around.
Relationship Status… dating Hanna Marin, the most popular girl at Rosewood High. But what’s she doing with a bad boy like Caleb? (Other than emulating a famous cross-clique couple that came before - The Breakfast Club’s Bender & Claire.) Their relationship starts out as a transaction of sorts; Caleb needs status, and Hanna owes him big time.
Challenge… keeping Hanna safe in Rosewood. Anyone who’s had an interaction with Hanna and her friends knows that they have had their issues since Alison DiLaurentis’ death. But only those closest to them know the truth – they’re just doing their best to survive under the constant harassment, taunting, and torture of a seemingly all-seeing nemesis. And when that nemesis is constantly trying to kill them and/or ruin their romantic relationships? Well, Caleb definitely has his work cut out for him.
Personality… sarcastic, romantic, and resourceful. Caleb has a thick skin, so sometimes he can seem distant. But really, he’s a sweet, thoughtful guy who is constantly worried about losing the people he cares about. Caleb is also street-smart, and he knows how to survive while only relying on himself.
