Logan Roy is founder and CEO of Waystar Royco, the fifth-largest media conglomerate in the world. Although he planned to pass on the reins of his company to his son Kendall, he makes the decision to stay on as CEO only to unexpectedly have a stroke at 80. As Logan recovers, he finds himself locked in a power struggle with his son, who fears his dad just isn't up for the job anymore.
