Stan Smith lives in Langley Falls, Virginia, with his wife Francine, two kids, a human-turned-fish that talks, and an alcoholic alien. Stan is a gun-toting, freedom-loving, lefty-hating American who is often at odds with his more progressive children. He gets along fairly well with Francine, but that's primarily because Stan tends to use his high-level CIA gadgets to tamper with her brainwaves.
