Absolutely Famous follows a middle-aged duo who like to drink, party, attend high profile events, and drink, in no particular order. To many onlookers it would appear that the two girlfriends Patsy and Edina are reliving their glory days—though that would imply that they at some point had stopped. They are neurotic, high-strung, petulant, frivolous, garrulous, self-absorbed, borderline alcoholic—and, of course, absolutely fabulous.
