Living… in a comfortable home with his family in the suburban purgatory of Agrestic. Silas is an average teenager with raging hormones, whose life was turned upside down when his father passed away. His mother Nancy takes up selling weed to fill the financial void, and Silas acts out and experiments with drugs to cope with his grief.
Profession… high school student. Silas’s grades have always been mediocre, and forays into the world of recreational drug use haven’t helped things.
Relationship Status… dating Quinn, until her mother shipped her off to Mexico. Now he dates Megan, the “deaf girl on Dewey Street” but it’s unclear how long it will last until her parents pull the plug on a relationship built on drugs and casual sex.
Challenge… getting in on Nancy’s marijuana business. She wants to keep him far away from the risky operation, but Silas won’t take no for an answer. Even though Nancy’s is his mother, he’s not above waiting until she’s at her lowest point to swoop in and force her hand.
Personality… impulsive and emotional. When he wants something, he gets tunnel vision, which leads to an array of tricky predicaments. He has learned to thrive on chaos because chaos has been the status quo ever since his dad died.

The premise of Weeds is this: soccer mom Nancy Botwin tries her hand selling marijuana to generate income after her husband's premature demise, and (surprise!) ends up opening a Pandora's box. Her ensuing odyssey draws parallels to Breaking Bad, though Weeds is an infinitely more whimsical show. Set in the lily-white suburban paradise of Agrestic, California, Weeds also delves into the hilarious subplots of Celia Hodes, Doug Wilson, and Andy Botwin, immature 40-somethings whose respective drug-fueled shenanigans unwittingly combine to crusade for a common cause: keeping Agrestic weird.
