Overview… a high school student in 1970’s New York City. Ra Ra Kipling is the eldest of three brothers and best friend to Zeke Figuera. They spend their days hanging out, chasing their favorite graffiti artist’s new works, and as of late, delving into the brand-new hip-hop scene. Ra Ra is excited to be a part of this vibrant new movement, but he’s also a little nervous, because he’s practical and tends to be the voice of caution in their group.
Personality… loyal, pragmatic, and careful. Ra Ra takes his eldest-brother position seriously, and while he’s as excited as anybody to see a new piece of art or feel the beat in a club, he’s also the first to say they should retreat to safer ground. That said, he wouldn’t ever abandon his friends or brothers in the field.

In New York City in the late 1970's, Grandmaster Flash has taken Shaolin under his wing and promises to show him the secrets of hip-hop, including the "get down," the section of a song with the most infectious beat. Shaolin can spin records, but he doesn't have the words to accompany the music. When he meets Zeke Figuero, a younger kid also from the Bronx, he knows he's found his wordsmith. But can the Get Down Brothers rise to the top?
