Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Overview… a young high schooler growing up in one of the most troubled and exciting times in New York history – the Bronx in the 1970s. Dizzee’s passion is street art, and he tags trains and buildings under the name Rumi 411. He idolizes the artist Shaolin Fantastic, and when he finally meets him in person, Dizzee is more than ready to sign on to Shaolin’s new project: building the hottest new hip-hop crew in New York.

Personality... artistic, even philosophical, and daring in the pursuit of his art. He’s a little more quiet than his three brothers, but no less willing to crawl over broken concrete and through abandoned buildings to find rare works or create his own. As Dizzee says to his friends, “A life lived in fear is a life half-lived.” When he does speak, he’s likely to drop wisdom, practically poetry, about the importance of street art and the people who make it.
