Overview… one of three brothers growing up in 1970s New York in the Bronx. Together with his brothers and their friend Zeke, Boo Boo idolizes the graffiti artist Shaolin Fantastic. Boo Boo then ends up working with his hero, building a new crew, “The Get Down Brothers,” to take over the hip-hop scene that’s just being born in the Bronx’s underground clubs.
Personality… enthusiastic, energetic, and curious. Boo Boo has an infectious energy and is ready to seek new places, people, and experiences at the drop of a hat. He’s especially curious about how things work, enjoying taking apart mechanical objects. His typically neat, almost preppy clothing contrasts with how ready he is to jump into a fray or dance party alike.

In New York City in the late 1970's, Grandmaster Flash has taken Shaolin under his wing and promises to show him the secrets of hip-hop, including the "get down," the section of a song with the most infectious beat. Shaolin can spin records, but he doesn't have the words to accompany the music. When he meets Zeke Figuero, a younger kid also from the Bronx, he knows he's found his wordsmith. But can the Get Down Brothers rise to the top?
