Kingdom Hearts is based on various Disney stories, referred to in-game as "Worlds". For example, the World based on Disney's Alice in Wonderland features appearances by Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Queen of Hearts. Interacting with these characters forms part of gameplay, while combating the games enemies, the "Heartless" forms the other. Successful completion of a World is accomplished by defeating a key foe, which is either the primary villain from the Disney story, a unique Heartless of particular strength, or a combination thereof.

Fringe depicts an absurd world through the lens of real emotions and relatable flawed characters, whom viewers are drawn to root for. Olivia Dunham and her team try to solve a science-based case each week, slowly realizing that they have stumbled across a cover-up so big that it threatens the existence of our entire universe.
In South Park, the adventures of four young boys in rural Colorado become a means for the show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, to ruthlessly satirize current events, celebrities, politicians, and to posit their essential thesis, which is that adults are idiots. Crass and deeply perverse, South Park is not for the faint of heart, but the show's predilection for "going there" accounts for both its funniness and insightful social commentary.

Saved by the Bell follows five best friends during their time at Bayside High School in Los Angeles. The show covered all walks of high school life, from Zack Morris, the consummate schemer and rabble rouser to A.C. Slater, the amiable jock, to Screech the lovable geek, to Jessie Spano the feminist scholar, to Kelly Kapowski the teenage dream girl. At its best, the show was aspirational, showing a school that had almost zero ties to reality, and seemed to exist in some happier Day-glo universe. You either knew people like them, or you wanted to.
Ratchet & Clank focuses on Ratchet, a furry alien creature, and Clank, a nerdy little robot, going on a quest to find Captain Qwark and ultimately to help save the galaxy. The game has over twenty levels (planets) and includes as many real-time cut-scenes which tell the story. Also of note is that the story is non-linear, requiring the player to return to previous levels to complete objectives and to choose between multiple paths forward.

Spike Spiegel is one of the best space cowboys around, and he's glad to have partner Jet Black along for Jet's sharpshooting skills and his company. However, when the Bebop starts adding more members to their crew, Spike gets a little irritated, especially when all the new members happen to be the three things he hates most: "kids, animals, and women with attitudes."
Dark Souls is a role-playing game that features a dark fantasy universe, tense dungeon crawling, fearsome enemy encounters and unique online interactions. You can also summon players into your world to co-op adventure, or invade other's worlds to PVP battle. Beware: There is no place in Dark Souls that is truly safe. With days of game play and an even more punishing difficulty level, Dark Souls will be the most deeply challenging game you play this year.
