Zero Kiryu

Grew Up… in sad circumstances. Zero’s entire family was murdered by vampires, and he himself was bitten. He’s grown up with the shadow of this trauma.

Living… with his adoptive family, Kaien and Yuki Cross. Kaien is the headmaster of a private school, and Zero and Yuki live with him and attend the school. The school is split into “Day Class” and “Night Class”. Yuki and Zero are both Day Class students.

Profession…  student by day, and vampire hunter by night. Most students don’t know it, but the elusive and beautiful Night Class students are actually vampires. Cross Academy is an experiment, designed to see if humans and vampires can co-exist peacefully. It’s Zero and Yuki’s job to make sure no one gets hurt in the meantime.

Interests… cooking and horseback riding, although he often pretends not to care about anything. He has a close relationship with White Lily, one of the horses in the Cross Academy stables. He’s even slept in her stall rather than go home.

Relationship Status… single. He’s fiercely protective of Yuki, and many people believe he’s in love with her, but he won’t mention it.

Challenge… processing the hatred he feel towards vampires – especially as he starts to become one. That vampire that killed his family also infected him, and he starts to crave blood, much to his horror. He hates the very thing he is becoming.

Personality… guarded, intimidating, and loyal. He has a presence that even vampires have described as scary, and a lot of people are put off by it. That’s exactly what he wants. But if somehow you manage to get close to him, it’s plain that he’s standoffish to protect himself, and that he actually cares deeply about the welfare of the people around him.
