Zeratul

Grew up... on Shakuras. While members of the main Protoss race live on their ancestral home world Aiur, Zeratul hails from Shakuras, home planet of a splinter branch cast out long ago.

Living... throughout the stars. Zeratul lives a nomadic lifestyle traveling throughout the cosmos searching for clues about a mysterious, impending dark threat to creation.

Profession... Dark Templar. Zeratul is a Dark Templar, a mystic warrior class with powerful psychic abilities. They separated from the Protoss due to religious differences but have since come together again in a tense reunion to face a common enemy.

Interests… killing Zerg. Zeratul takes pride in his rare ability to permanently slay powerful alien Zerg leaders in ways that others cannot. However, because of this he has been manipulated into performing assassinations against his own interests.

Relationship Status... single. Zeratul is like a chaste monk. Protoss lifespans are essentially infinite, meaning there is no real need for them to have partners and reproduce to continue the species. Also, Protoss males also tend to look down on females of any race.

Challenge... changing the future. When Zeratul receives a vision of an apocalyptic future where all intelligent life in the universe is on the verge of extinction, he sets out to prevent it by any means necessary – even if that means reaching out to old foes.                                               

Personality... secretive. Zeratul is a stoic loner who speaks in riddles. As he says, “I have journeyed through the darkness between the most distant stars. I have beheld the births of negative-suns and borne witness to the entropy of entire realities.” But he is also very honorable and loyal to his allies.
