Character Analysis

Grew Up… in the city, trained to become a swordsman. His Gramps was his sensei who demanded much from him growing up. As Zenitsu says, “Clearly Gramps did smack me around a bit too much. But he never abandoned me.”
Living… on the road with his friends as they hunt down demons. Thanks to his upbringing in the city, he can easily navigate himself and his friends during their travels in inner cities.
Profession… Demon Slayer. Zenitsu possesses enhanced strength and great fighting skills. His willpower combined with his power makes him a formidable opponent.
Interests… girls, slaying demons, and sweets. Zenitsu is no stranger to crushes and heartache alike. His complicated list of ex-lovers serves as proof.
Relationship Status… single and flinging himself onto any attractive girl he sees. Currently, he has an unrequited and deep crush on his good friend’s little sister.
Challenge… overcoming his dread over his own mortality. Zenitsu must learn to come to terms with his fear of death and not rely on his sheer anger and willpower alone. Zenitsu could learn to have some faith in himself, and that through his abilities, he can trust himself to stay as safe as his profession allows.
Personality… insecure, sensitive, and pessimistic. Zenitsu can come off as annoying due to his overflowing and anxious tendencies. He has some ways to go before he reaches a state of self-confidence for the better. This is not to say he is not a loyal friend and unrelenting fighter; deep down he has the potential for greatness.
