Yvonne "Vee" Parker

Living... in Litchfield Penitentiary in New York for the umpteenth time. It’s been so long since the last time she was in that Red was a new inmate when Vee was getting out. Something went down before she got out, though, because the tension between the two is off the charts the moment Vee steps back onto Litchfield soil.

Profession... former drug dealer. She hired kids to run the drugs and cops to look the other way. One of those kids was Taystee, another inmate at Litchfield, who viewed Vee as a mother figure. Now Vee has built up a gang of women, including Taystee, to smuggle and distribute tobacco within the prison.

Interests… cooking, but she can’t do that anymore. Back in the city, she loved learning new recipes to cook meals for herself and her surrogate family. Now that she’s back in prison, she’s driven to an insane degree to gain as much power as possible, no matter who she hurts. Including Taystee.

Relationship Status... unattached. Vee was a single mother to the children she brought in off the streets to smuggle drugs around New York City. One of them was R.J., a teen who Taystee saw as a brother. What would she say if she found out Vee once slept with him?

Challenge... starting a war with a gang of white women who include Red. Vee wants to take control from Red over the system that brings smuggled goods into the prison. When Red says no, a stand off begins that leads to fights, stabbings, and more.  
    
Personality... manipulative, ruthless, and sociopathic. Vee gets dropped into Litchfield like a firebomb, and it’s tough to find a woman who doesn’t get burned. She is incredibly skilled at making the young black women feel loved and protected, but won’t hesitate to turn on them if she thinks they might be a threat.
