Xander Harris

Living...  in a dysfunctional home, in the small town of Sunnydale, California.  Xander’s life forever changed after he discovered that his new friend, Buffy Summers, is a vampire slayer and that his hometown was built on a gateway to hell.

Profession...  sophomore at Sunnydale High School. While most of the school considers him a loser, Xander is a key member the “Scooby Gang.” With Buffy, Willow, and Giles, he helps fight demonic activity. While he’s not much of a combat specialist, his humorous personality provides comic relief. As he says, “I laugh in the face of danger. Then I hide until it goes away.”

Interests... humor and pop culture. Xander regularly uses self-deprecation as comedic material. As he half jokingly admits, “For the record, you were right, I'm an idiot and perpetually make pop culture references.” 

Relationship Status… single, sadly. Xander is completely blind to the fact his best friend, Willow, is madly in love with him. Instead, he developed a huge crush on Buffy the moment he first saw her and has been trying to win her affections ever since. The first time he spoke to her he accidently said, “Can I have you? Uhh... Can I help you?” Xander’s last relationship was with Willow…when they were five years old. Their brief romance ended when he stole Willow’s Barbie. 

Challenge... surviving and trying to lead an average teenage life. Shortly after meeting Buffy, Xander’s best friend, Jesse McNally, was kidnapped and turned into a vampire. Xander subsequently fought him in a battle and accidentally staked him. This was Xander’s first time facing life-threatening danger. Since then, Xander and his friends are constantly in danger as they fight the forces of evil – and almost anyone could turn out to be an enemy. He still tries to take everything with a sense of humor.

Personality...  sarcastic, with an inferiority complex, easy-going, and brutally honest. Xander is very loyal to his friends and is willing to do anything to protect them. Sadly, his lack of any supernatural powers or physical ability inhibits his ability to do this.
