(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview... a bored 10-year-old girl in 19th century America. Her parents and her society control her life, and all Winnie wants is "something interesting – something that's all mine." She gets that and more when Winnie meets Jesse Tuck, a seemingly beautiful 17-year-old boy who's actually 104 years old, and his similarly immortal family. But there are malicious forces after the Tucks, and as Winnie struggles to understand her new world, she must do what she can to keep her new family safe.
Personality... innocent, kind, and curious. Independent and adventurous, Winnie isn't made for her family's stiff formalities, but neither is she wholly ready for the dangerous world she's landed in. And while she's enticed by the idea of immortality, Winnie's newfound sense of mortality makes her unsure if she'd really like to be 10 forever.
