Wallace

Living… in Toronto with his single sister and her young son, Felix. There, he likes hanging out in kitschy shops with his best friend, Allan.

Profession… a med-school-dropout-turned-medical-textbook-writer. Wallace left medical school after he caught his then-girlfriend cheating on him in a hospital utility closet with their anatomy professor.

Interests… The Princess Bride, fried pickles, and weird facts. Wallace gets along so well with his new friend Chantry because they talk about bizarre things they’ve read on the internet, like Elvis’ favorite sandwich. 

Relationship Status… broken-hearted and very single, since he broke up with his girlfriend for cheating on him over a year ago. In the months since, Wallace has become completely antisocial, preferring to spend time with his 8-year-old nephew than with people his own age, let alone attractive people of the opposite sex.

Challenge… staying platonic friends with Chantry, the girl he’s falling for.  This wouldn’t be such a big problem if she were single, but of course Chantry has a long-term boyfriend with an impressive job and a love of cooking. 

Personality… pragmatic, self-aware, and sarcastic. Wallace is known for his quick banter and his somewhat neurotic tendencies. He’s completely cynical about love, and he believes it only makes people act worse. “Love is just an all-purpose excuse for selfish behavior. You can lie and cheat and hurt people, and it’s all okay because you’re in love.”
