Overview… Krakozhian citizen Viktor Navorski just wants to go home. Unfortunately, home no longer exists, due to the outbreak of civil war within his country. As a result his passport is deemed invalid and Viktor is stuck in New York’s JFK Airport until further notice. Now he must grow accustomed to a life of sink showers and airport terminal food.
Personality... amicable and resourceful. Viktor quickly befriends various airport staff and adapts to terminal life. He figures out how to get spare change from the luggage cart system and learns how to make a mean saltine-and-ketchup sandwich. Still, Viktor longs every day for the comfort of home, and he’s determined to find a way to return.

Viktor Navorski is a man without a country; his plane took off just as a coup d'etat exploded in his homeland, leaving it in shambles, and now he's stranded at Kennedy Airport, where he's holding a passport that nobody recognizes. While quarantined in the transit lounge until authorities can figure out what to do with him, Viktor simply goes on living – and courts romance with a beautiful flight attendant.
