Vern Tessio

Overview... a chubby kid with a penchant for humor. Vern attracts a lot of bullies but knows how to deflect them as much as possible with comedy. He has a tight-knit group of friends (Gordie, Chris, and Teddy) who lend a helping hand in keeping him safe. But their safety gets called into question when they embark on a journey through the woods to find the supposed dead body of a missing kid.

Personality… comic but soft-spoken. Bullying has made Vern shy. Only around his best friends can he open up and let his true colors come out and shine. He’s not as good at telling stories as his buddy Gordie, but he can definitely get a laugh out of just about anyone around whom he’s comfortable enough to show off.
