Undyne

Living… on her own in a quiet and angry-looking house. Undyne’s house looks as tough as she does, which means it’s in the shape of an angry fish face. But some may find that the interior is a lot more inviting.

Profession… head of the royal guard, a group dedicated to capturing humans. As the most determined royal guard, Undyne puts capturing humans before her own safety. And she’s a survivor. As she says, “There's a burning feeling inside me. A feeling that WON'T let me die.”

Interests… weapons, the piano, and anime. Her work may spill into her personal life just a bit, making her fond of collecting weapons and “fighting the ivories.” She also loves watching anime with her friend, Alphys. Since they’ve been trapped underground for hundreds of years, they think anime is a documentation of human history, which makes it exciting for them.

Relationship Status… single with a crush she hasn’t confessed to yet. She’s become close to Alphys, the scientist. But with all her responsibilities, she hasn’t got around to confessing her feelings to him. With a little help, they may discover the feelings are mutual.

Challenge… finding out the right thing to do. Undyne is conflicted between fulfilling her duty of capturing humans and laying down her arms against the defenseless children that happen to fall into the underground. Undyne’s task to capture Frisk, the human, becomes more complicated with every act of kindness they throw at her. Undyne won’t hesitate to do the right thing, but she has to figure out what that is.

Personality… determined, noble, and outspoken. Undyne is determined to be the best at everything she does, leading her to be competitive and dedicated. She always plays fair, even against her enemies, and will risk her own life to save another when need be. Infallible human-hunter Undyne has no time for jokes while on duty. But for a special few who know her as a friend, she’s a loveable, outgoing, and compassionate person.
