Overview... a newly engaged sous chef. Tom has life all figured out: He’s primed for a promotion at the fancy restaurant where he works and Violet, the love of his life, just said yes to his marriage proposal. But it turns out that getting to the altar isn’t as simple as asking someone to meet you there. Especially when Violet gets accepted into a two-year post doctorate program that takes Tom away from his perfect San Francisco life and into the icy winters of Michigan. 

Personality... funny, caring, and a little passive. Tom is an all-around affable guy, with a warm sense of humor that meshes perfectly with Violet’s goofiness. But his desire to please others means he doesn’t always stand up for himself. He’s been known to bottle up his frustrations until they burst forth in weird and unexpected ways.
