Character Analysis

Grew up... in the small village of Nibelheim. Tifa lived a quiet life, splitting her time between her family and her martial arts mentor, Zangan. The town was burned to the ground when the super soldier Sephiroth went insane, and while it would later be rebuilt, Tifa’s only real tie to her past is her former neighbor, Cloud Strife.
Living... in the Sector 7 Slums underneath the capital city of Midgar. Tifa runs the 7th Heaven bar, which also serves as the base for the eco-terrorist group, AVALANCHE.
Profession... bartender, martial artist, and member of AVALANCHE. Tifa keeps herself busy with her work, acting as the group’s watchful caretaker.
Interests… helping others, practicing martial arts, and trying to save the world. Tifa doesn’t have much time for anything else once she joins up with Cloud and his gang to save the planet. Luckily, her personal business overlaps with their quest when they come into conflict with Sephiroth – the man who destroyed Tifa’s life in Nibelheim.
Relationship Status... complicated. Tifa has feelings for Cloud, but she has trouble expressing them. Still, she expresses plenty through her constant efforts to take care of Cloud, for as she puts it, “Words aren’t the only way to tell someone how you feel.”
Challenge... helping Cloud and his gang stop the corrupted Shinra Company and save the planet from the evil Sephiroth. Sephiroth was a former war hero, renowned for his combat prowess. However, everything changed when he discovered his mysterious origins at a complex near Nibelheim, causing him to descend into madness. Now the insane Sephiroth seeks to use the power of the planet, the Lifestream, in order to elevate himself to godhood. It’s up to Tifa, Cloud, and a band of unlikely heroes to defeat Sephiroth before it’s too late.
Personality... motherly, good-natured, shy, and tough. Tifa spends most of her time worrying and caring about others, often to the detriment of herself. Despite her gentle nature she’s no damsel in distress, and is a deadly and effective martial artist. Upbeat and determined, Tifa provides structure for the loose-knit group of heroes, and keeps everyone moving when everyone seems sure they couldn’t take another step.
