Character Analysis

Grew Up... in Zanarkand. Tidus hails from Zanarkand, a utopian futuristic metropolis. It is a dream city, but unfortunately the dream could not last.
Living... in Spira. After Zanarkand is attacked by a monster called Sin, Tidus awakens and finds himself lost somewhere else in the world of Spira. Here he meets allies like Wakka and Yuna, but few believe he actually came from a place as holy as Zanarkand.
Profession... blitzball player. Before the attack, Tidus was a star blitzball player, a popular sport in Spira. However, he only became an athlete after being teased by his father Jecht, a respected bliztball player in his own right.
Interests… not becoming his father. Tidus resents his lost father for his sad childhood. However, no matter how much he denies it, they are similar. They both tend to run away from their problems and only look out for themselves.
Relationship Status... in love. During their pilgrimage back to Zanarkand, Tidus begins to fall in love with Yuna, the young summoner who first found him after his mysterious arrival.
Challenge... defeating Sin. With his new group of friends, Tidus sets out to destroy Sin and find his way back home. However, their enemy is powerful, and no one has reached Zanarkand in a millennium, so the journey may be more complicated than they realized. But as Tidus says, “This is our story! Now let’s see this thing through together!”
Personality... carefree. Tidus always tries to be happy, to keep up the appearance that nothing is wrong. He just wants to play games. However, during his travels, he begins to mature and recognize his own inner emotional problems.
