Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview... an English baronet newly arrived in America. Allerdale Hall, the Sharpes' ancestral home, is slowly falling apart, and Thomas thinks his latest invention could help restore their fortunes. So far, he's not been having much luck. But on the bright side, being in America has led Thomas to meet Edith Cushing, the daughter of a rich businessman whose kindness and creativity (along with the large fortune she's set to inherit) quickly capture his attention.
Personality... creative, introspective, and sensitive. Edith's father accuses Thomas of being a rich young aristocrat who takes things for granted – but that's not true. While he may be a baronet, Thomas is no stranger to hard work or hardship. While he's charming and polite to Edith, there remains a distance between them, almost as if Thomas is wary of becoming too attached to her.
