Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… in a factory. The Terminator, technically known as a Terminator T-800 Model 101, was created on an assembly line in a factory in the year 2029.

Living… in the future. The Terminator is one of many identical machines. He was designed for one purpose: to hunt down and kill humans. In the year 2029, mankind has almost been completely exterminated. The machines, under the leadership of the self-aware and brilliant computer network “Skynet,” now rule the earth.

Visiting… the year 1985. The Terminator has been sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor – a woman who is destined to give birth to the future leader of the human resistance, John Connor.

Profession… executioner. In the words of Kyle Reese, a human freedom fighter, The Terminator “can’t be bargained with, it can’t be reasoned with, it doesn’t feel pity or remorse or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.”

Challenge… finding and killing Sarah Connor. Her unborn child, John Connor, will grow up to become the only threat to the machine’s complete world-domination.  Unfortunately for the machines, John Connor has sent back one of his most trusted freedom fighters, Kyle Reese, to help protect his mother and safeguard his existence.

Personality… terse, serious, and unemotional. For all intents and purposes, The Terminator has no personality. He only communicates when he needs to, and when he does, it’s with as few words as possible. He exists for one reason and one reason only: to terminate Skynet’s enemies.
