Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew up… in Spain. The Professor spent most of his childhood in a hospital bed, where he had a lot of time to read books.

Profession… thief. The Professor’s father was a thief, and his dying wish was for his son to execute a heist that has been intricately planned. The Professor has assembled a team of eight thieves to help him print 2.4 billion Euros in the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid. The plan involves taking hostages, but no bloodshed. As the Professor says, “The second any blood is shed, we'll no longer be Robin Hood, but just a bunch of plain motherf’ing punks.

Relationship Status… single. The Professor has established three rules that everyone must follow during the heist, and one of them is that personal relationships are not allowed. The other two rules are that no one can reveal their real names, and there must be no personal questions or exchange of information. Because the team is not to get to know each other personally, they all select city names as aliases. And they hide their faces with Salvador Dali masks.

Challenge… figuring out how to adjust the plan with each mishap and obstacle he and his team run into, inside and outside of the bank. With every contingency planned out, though, the Professor still wasn’t entirely prepared for how things are playing out.

Personality… level-headed, brilliant, and charismatic. With his acute level of perception, he unites and controls everyone from outside of the bank and manipulates the police force into cooperating with him. Unemotional and analytical, the Professor takes his work very seriously.
