Character Analysis

Overview... oldest Goldberg child, and a former geek who made the rare leap to popularity midway through high school. She’s smarter and more musically talented than her brother Barry but lacks the blind confidence that’s gotten him so humiliated throughout the years. She’s discovering who she is as an independent woman, even if that means trying to date college dropouts whose bands are totally about to take off.
Personality... smart, socially nimble, and caring. Outwardly, Erica only seems to care about boys, talking on the phone, and clothes. And that’s mostly right. But she cares about her family and will, on occasion, actually talk to her brothers when they need a little help. The rest of the time you can count on her keeping them in a headlock or yelling at them to get out of the bathroom. After all, she’s a Goldberg – yelling and violence are the only ways they know how to communicate.
