Overview... middle child in the Goldberg family. Barry proudly lives his life as the best rapper in his hood… even though his hood is 1980s Pennsylvania, where there’s not much competition for the title. “Nobody understands me like Flavor Flav!” he says, and he might be right – nobody in the Goldberg family is giving him any respect. And this drives him crazy. He’s prone to over-reactions, a trait he inherited from his mom, Beverly.
Personality... confident, emotional, and not so bright. He’s an unpopular jock, who knows he could be the world’s best NBA star/rapper/karate master if someone just gave him a chance. Where does all this unfounded confidence come from? Probably his mother, who’s obsessively fawning parenting has affected them each in different ways. Barry’s just dumb enough to believe her when she says he’s the most handsome boy in school.
