Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living… in Paris. She lives a luxurious, albeit sometimes lonely, life.

Profession… working at the Savoir in France for over a decade. She now presides as the chief marketing officer there, a cold but highly efficient leader. She has no room for error within her workplace, although this is complicated by bubbly, loud, and oh-so-annoying new worker Emily Cooper.

Interests... smoking. As Sylvie says, "Smoking is a pleasure, and without pleasure, who are we?"

Relationship Status… in an illicit affair with Antione Lambert, the handsome (and married) owner of perfume company Maison Lavaux. If the married aspect wasn’t risky enough, Maison Lavaux is also a client of Savoir’s and seems to have taken an interest in her irritating American worker, Emily.

Challenge… opening herself up. Sylvie is driven and intelligent and doesn’t allow herself to befriend those she sees as inferior. Despite her desire for classy individuals, she finds herself pining after a married man who chose someone else over her, perhaps due to her own hidden insecurities or fear of putting herself out there. Sylvie must learn to control her anger and not take out her woes on those who don’t necessarily deserve it.

Personality… ambitious, charming, and anal. However, there’s still a soft spot buried deep beneath the surface. But Sylvie puts walls around her, so it's hard to see her warmth and vulnerabilities.
