Stanley Barber

Living… in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. His mother is absent and his dad is a truck driver who isn’t home much, which is more of a relief than a burden for Stanley. As he tells his friend, “My life is way better when he’s not around. Wish he’d just stay gone, you know?”

Profession… student at Westinghouse High School, small-scale drug dealer, and part-time employee at Beaver Valley Bowl. 

Interests… his favorite band Bloodwitch (which no one has ever heard of), his car (a 1978 Ford Fairmont), superhero comics, VHS tapes, and eccentric clothing. He also likes to watch sports from the sidelines, calling a football game “live theater.”

Relationship Status… crushing on Sydney. Although their relationship briefly ventures into romance, Sydney comes to realize that she does like him, just “not in that way.”

Challenges… socializing, navigating his relationship with his father, and helping Sydney figure out her newfound telekinetic powers. He appoints himself as Sydney’s mentor but struggles with prioritizing her difficulties and personal well-being over the development of her powers.

Personality… awkward, nerdy, considerate, and loyal. Stanley is his own person and doesn’t care about fitting into the mainstream. He is a loveable goofball with impeccable (if eccentric) fashion sense, unique music taste, and a wealth of strange but useful knowledge.
