Overview… a young woman who grows up fast – very, very fast. The eldest daughter in her family, Sophie is originally a young lady with only humble prospects as a hat maker in her late father’s shop. However, after getting on the wrong side of the Witch of the Waste, Sophie wakes up one morning as an old woman. Running away from home, Sophie hitches a ride on a moving castle belonging to the notorious wizard Howl, reluctantly striking up a friendship with him as she struggles to break her curse.
Personality... dutiful, serious, mature, and incredibly loyal. Sophie is organized and diligent, taking all her responsibilities seriously, though she doesn't think highly of herself. Still, she's definitely a person you would want on your side.
