Grew Up... heir to Pride Rock. As a cub, Simba was eager to inherit his father's kingdom, gleefully telling his uncle, Scar, "My dad just showed me the whole kingdom. And I'm gonna rule it all." More than Pride Rock, though, Simba loves its king, his father Mufasa. When Mufasa dies, Simba is naturally devastated.
Living… with Timon and Pumbaa, a wildebeest and meerkat who rescue Simba after he escaped Pride Rock. Life in their forest may not be the royal treatment but the food is plentiful enough, and Timon and Pumbaa are good company. More than that, however, Simba's new life allows him to avoid his painful past.
Profession… king in hiding. After Simba's father died trying to protect him, Simba's guilt lead him to run away. Yet Simba is still the rightful king, and with Pride Rock now under the dark rule of his Scar, if he doesn’t fight for it, who will?
Interests… relaxing and having fun with Timon and Pumbaa. Together, they practice the philosophy of "Hakuna Matata," a worry-free guide to life that's been a great help to Simba after his father's death.
Relationship Status… betrothed to childhood friend Nala. He was betrothed, that is, until Simba ran away. Nala, however, is still in Pride Rock, and while the other lions have given up Simba for dead, she still believes that he will return one day.
Challenge… overcoming his past. While Simba may be haunted by his guilt over his father's death, Pride Rock needs him now more than ever. But as he tells his father's former advisor, Rafiki, "I know what I have to do. But going back means I'll have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long."
Personality… guilt-ridden. On his worst days, Simba thinks it’s better that he left the kingdom – if it weren't for him, after all, Mufasa would have never died. But with Pride Rock overtaken by hyenas and his father's subjects starving, Simba knows that he owes it to Mufasa to bring justice to Pride Rock.
