Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Overview… a broken young man from London’s poverty-stricken East End. The teenage Sid lives his life at a thousand miles an hour. His days are booze-addled blurs, and his nights are fueled by the angry music that he makes with his band, The Sex Pistols. It is only when he meets an American woman, Nancy Spungen, that his life gains a semblance of order. She proves to be his trusty companion, though she also gets him deep into the dangerous world of heroin. Sid and Nancy hold each other up, but they also bring each other down.

Personality… vulgar, crude, and always under the influence. Sid is the wild child of The Sex Pistols. His youthful exuberance constantly borders on dangerous inhibition. All too often, he goes from high and excited to strung out and vomit-stained. It seems that the drugs and the party are more important than the music.
