Shoto Todoroki

Living… at the UA high school dorms. He attends one of the most prestigious hero academies in Japan.

Profession… student and aspiring professional hero. Considered to have one of the most powerful Quirks, Todoroki is one of the most promising students at UA. He's able to wield both ice and fire elemental attacks, leading to a versatile and complementary arsenal of attacks. However, he refuses to use his fire abilities (inherited from his dad, superhero Endeavor) due to a strained relationship with his father.

Interests… eating cold soba and visiting his mother.

Relationship Status… single, like everybody else in his class.

Challenge… dealing with family baggage. And oh boy, is it a lot of family baggage. Todoroki's father, Endeavor, is one of the most famous active heroes and expects a lot from his son. Todoroki, on the other hand, doesn't care for Endeavor or what he wants. He resents Endeavor for psychologically tormenting his mom, which led to an unfortunate childhood accident where Todoroki's mom poured hot tea on his face—now a permanent scar that constantly reminds him of his trauma. Tokoroki doesn’t want to be associated with his dad. As he says to him, “I’ll win with mom’s power alone. I’ll never use your power in battle.” Todoroki's challenge then, is to decide on how he feels about becoming a hero and his abilities: Should he live up to his dad's expectations? Or should he carve his own path?

Personality… calm, collected, and aloof. However, thanks to the warmth of his classmates, Todoroki slowly warms up and opens his heart to his newfound friends. He cares a lot about his friends and will rush to their aid. Todoroki can be stubborn, understandably so, in matters related to his dad and family.
