Shinso Hitoshi

Living… in the dorms of UA high, a prestigious academy that boasts the title of number one in Japan for its courses in heroics. 

Profession… student. Having a brainwashing quirk, he has been misunderstood for the entirety of his life. Discriminated against and labeled a villain out of fear from his peers, Shinso has his mind set on defying the labels marked upon him. After spending much of his first-year training extensively in the general studies program, he has appealed and been accepted to transfer into the hero program. He is training under the mentorship of underground pro-hero and UA hero course instructor, Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead.

Interests… cats and bicycling. As it turns out his new instructor is a cat lover as well. 

Relationship Status… single. Shinso does not care about making friends of any kind—his ambitions are set on improving his mind control and on surpassing his soon-to-be hero course peers as well. As he says to those who doubt him, “I'll show them I've got what it takes to make the hero course, and I'll become a greater hero than all of you.”

Challenge… getting a good night’s rest. It is uncertain if his tired appearance is due to his disinterested personality, or insomnia. On a serious note, Shinso struggles with his buried emotions due to being misconceived. He holds resentment for those who have doubted him and a deeper loathing for those who were seemingly born with “heroic” abilities. He needs to maximize his efforts to surpass everybody because he feels as though he needs to prove that he can indeed be a top hero. 

Personality… determined, blunt, and stand-offish. Shinso is not put off by using manipulation to his advantage. Because his power of mind control activates by having one respond to his verbal communication, he holds an uncanny ability to get anyone talking. He can start a conversation with anybody, even if he must do so by first getting under their skin. Anything is fair game if it means getting ahead.
