Scar

Grew Up… in Pride Rock neglected by his parents. Scar was born to always be second-best to his brother Mufasa, the alpha male and heir to the throne. Scar would always just be the brother of the king, and he harbored great resentment, even from a young age. Scar admits that “when it comes to brute strength... I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool.”

Living… plotting against his brother, Mufasa. Scar has decided that the best way to get to Mufasa is through his son and heir, Simba – whom Scar refers to as a little “hairball.” Scar tricks the young lion into disobeying his father’s orders not to go to the Elephant’s Graveyard. Scar seems to have malicious plans in mind.

Profession… prince of the Pride Lands. Scar has no real responsibilities, and spends most of his time hatching plans to become more important. He constantly fights with Zazu, Mufasa’s trusted advisor. Scar’s bitterness about his rank among the pride makes him an easy target for ridicule.

Interests… hanging out with hyenas. Scar has seduced the laughing hyenas into becoming his posse. Scar controls them like minions to do his evil bidding, and threatens the other lions whenever he needs to exert his force. 

Relationship Status… single. His lack of a mate might be why he has so much time on his hands, and possibly is also the root of some of his anger.

Challenge… ascending to the throne. Scar seems to be planning a complex coup. Stealing the throne for himself is only the beginning of his plot for domination. He plans to rule with an iron fist, and collect all the food for himself and his “elite” compatriots, especially the hyenas.

Personality… intelligent and conniving. He also has a large ego and sense of entitlement, as shown when he sings about himself: “meticulous planning, tenacity spanning decades of denial, is simply why I'll be King undisputed, respected, saluted and seen for the wonder I am!” What, you’ve never seen a singing lion? You’re probably on Mufasa’s side, too. Scar doesn’t need any of you!
