Overview… a kind-hearted college student. Savannah Curtis experiences the spring break of a lifetime when she meets John Tyree, a soldier on leave. A whirlwind romance ensues and the two lovers part, promising to reunite sometime in the near future. Unfortunately, fate may not always work in their favor.
Personality... virtuous and sweet. Savannah doesn’t drink, smoke, or sleep around. Her wholesome nature contrasts with John’s combative personality, but that doesn’t prevent them from falling for each other. After all, opposites do attract.

Sergeant John Tyree is home on a 2 week leave from Germany. He meets Savannah after he dives into the ocean to retrieve Savannah's purse that had fallen off the pier. John falls in love with Savannah who is a student on spring break helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. A romance occurs and Savannah falls deeply in love with John. She promises to write John overseas until he returns.
