Character Analysis

Living… in a haunted mansion that she inherited from her late great-aunt. The Woodstone Mansion is a much-welcomed upgrade from her New York shoebox. She seems much more excited about the move than her husband Jay, but she convinces him that they should keep the property instead of selling it.
Profession… freelance journalist. The work comes and goes, but Sam is willing to stick with it. She is betting on the success of the bed and breakfast side hustle that she and Jay are trying to start up so that she has something to fall back on.
Relationship Status… married to Jay Arondekar. Jay is a catch for Sam. He is loyal and puts a great amount of trust in her. The strength of their relationship is necessary for the supernatural situation that they find themselves in.
Challenge… feeling responsible for others. It can be a lot to be six people’s only link to the rest of the world. The ghosts of Woodstone need Sam to use objects, communicate, or have new experiences since she is one of the only living people who can see them. Jay also relies a great deal on Sam because of their investment in the property. A lot rides on the success of their bed and breakfast, so Sam has to be involved in that process while meeting the demands of the ghosts. All of this can weigh on her at times, but she displays a great deal of fortitude and confronts the hardships she is faced with.
Personality… generous and considerate. It takes a certain level of selflessness to be the personal liaison of the Woodstone ghosts. Sam constantly meets their needs while furthering her journalistic career and starting up the bed and breakfast. Sam’s ability to consider the emotions of everyone in her life when making decisions is admirable. She hates to say no and always strives to find the best solution for everyone.
