Character Analysis

Grew Up… in Nigeria. From humble beginnings, Sam has worked his way to the top of his profession without ditching the core values that his family (his father in particular) have instilled in him from a young age. His family and home country remain important to him in adulthood.
Living… in London, England. So far from home, there has obviously been a difficult adjustment period for Sam as he enters this phase of his life. However, his naturally lovable personality allows him to easily warm up to his surroundings and leave a positive impact on locals wherever he goes.
Profession… professional footballer in the Premier League for AFC Richmond. Sam is a great combination of raw talent and work ethic while also being a true team player. A very young addition to the club, he has a lot of developing to do, however, with such a strong combination of talent and character, he has everything it takes to lead a prosperous career.
Interests… activism. Sam does not let the risks and stress of a professional career in football distract him from what he believes and values. Rather than putting his head down, he gladly accepts the spotlight that comes with his profession and does not hesitate to utilize it to advocate for positive change even in the face of criticism.
Relationship Status… single, but open. While he is young and focused on his career at this stage in his life, Sam is still a naturally loving person and will happily pursue a relationship if he finds the right person for him.
Challenge… reconciling his past with his future. Being native to Nigeria and still maintaining a great amount of pride for and ties to his home country, Sam is frequently conflicted about whether to put his home or himself first. For example, he has serious objections over Dubai Air, the sponsor of their team. As he says, "Dubai Air is owned by a horrible company—one that has turned the Southern coast of Nigeria, my home, into a hellish, fiery swamp. I can no longer wear their name on my chest. Never again.”
Personality… talented, loyal, and lovable. Sam’s ability to brighten any room he walks into is not only what makes him an asset to AFC Richmond both on and off the field, but also a supportive and trustworthy friend. He loves the game of football, but his true passion lies with the people and connections that he values in his life.
