Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Living… in Oceanside, California. Sam has spent his whole life in the same house. Fortunately for him, particular neighborhood residents are pretty easy on the eyes.
Profession… high school student and part-time investigative journalist. Sam spends his days attending Hanover High School, but after hours he becomes an amateur sleuth. Sam and Peter spend most of their free time investigating the mysterious prank that has the entire school on edge.
Interests… videography, journalism, and the truth. Sam is a part of the Morning Show Nine, a group of students who run the Morning Show at Hanover High. Inadvertently, every second he has spent working on the show has been preparing him for his biggest story yet.
Relationship status… single, although not for lack of trying. Sam has been crushing on Gabby Granger for years. She is caring, funny, and quite literally “the girl next door.” Gabby is a year older than Sam, and while this doesn’t bother him, Gabby only sees him as a little brother.
Challenge… finding out who really spray-painted obscene images onto every single staff car. The evidence doesn’t quite add up for the police’s main suspect, so Peter and Sam take matters into their own hands. The boys embark on an intense investigation, but Sam isn’t as invested as Peter. As the two start to clash over ethical journalism, the real culprit might slip through their fingers.
Personality… earnest, silly, and loveable. Always lightening the mood, Sam isn’t afraid to crack jokes, even at inopportune moments. He may be a goofball, but he has a big heart. Sam might not look tough, but when it comes to defending someone’s honor, Sam is willing to put up a fight.
