Sage

Grew up… in China. Her roots as a protector of her homeland clearly influence how she behaves on the battlefield, instinctually defensive and with a mentality that puts others first and foremost. 

Role… sentinel. Sage plays defensively and typically allows the opponent to make the first move while setting defenses and helping her teammates. She serves as a dependable and grounded anchor for her entire team. Sage plays unselfishly and pours much of her attention into assisting her teammates and putting them in the best situation to succeed as possible. She is as reliable and supportive of a teammate as it gets. In her words, “My power does not ebb. Ask for aid, and you shall receive." She also possesses the capability to slow attacks from the enemy team by constructing defensive walls and rendering sections of the ground unnavigable.

Interests… healing and reviving her teammates and fortifying her area. Sage is constantly utilizing her magical capabilities to regenerate the health of her teammates, and sometimes even revive them completely.

Challenge… fighting on her own. With her supportive style of play, Sage is at her best when she has teammates to help, so she often lacks the means to take on opponents on her own. If she is unable to keep her teammates alive and finds herself all on her own, she finds that her greatest strength is ripped away and is often outmatched by opponents with greater prowess in direct combat.

Personality… supportive, compassionate, and protective. She enjoys helping others more than anything and tries to live up to her name in providing sage advice. Even when facing the most brutal of battles, Sage remains a caring figure that keeps her team healthy and thinking positive. She is a presence that any reasonable fighter would want at their side—not only as a fellow fighter, but also as a genuine friend.
