Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… in relative obscurity in Long Island. Sabrina is the daughter of a loving chaffeur who works for the wealthy Larrabee family, who own one of the world’s largest plastics companies. Unnoticed by the Larrabees, Sabrina spent her childhood watching the goings-on, and developing a crush on David, the playboy heir to the family fortune. He never noticed, though.

Living… back at home, on the Larrabee estate after she spent two years in Paris. She has returned, but she’s a very different person now. As she says, Paris was a transformative experience for her: "I have learned how to live, how to be in the world and of the world, and not just to stand aside and watch. And I will never, never again run away from life. Or from love, either."

Profession… former employee at Vogue Paris. For the last two years, Sabrina was working for Vogue magazine in Paris. And she seems like she has learned some fashion tips there. She has never been so glamorous and fashionable.

Interests… taking pictures. Paris taught her the value of beautiful things, and she wanted to capture everything she saw on film. She has quite a talent for photography.

Relationship Status… in love with David. But she heard that he is getting married, and she realized that it was now or never if she wanted to act on her childhood love.

Challenge… David’s cantankerous but principled brother, Linus. Sabrina has been trying to attract the attention of David, but Linus is the one who has been spending time with her. It’s hard for her to tell if Linus' feelings are real, or manufactured like the plastic their family produces.

Personality… charming, idealistic, romantic, and now world wise. Sabrina is a dreamer who has set out to live the life she always wanted. But it may turn out that what she wants may not be what she really needs.
