Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview... the lead guitarist of Stillwater. The up-and-coming rock band is finally getting some long-deserved attention. Russell isn’t the lead singer, but he is heralded as a kind of wild pretty-boy front man for the group. That sometimes gets in the way of his relationship with the other band-mates while they travel the country on tour.
Personality… soft-spoken but assertive. Russell is the kind of person who could truly own up to being a “rock star.” Though in the end, he just wants to be with “real people,” living his life for the music, instead of focusing on image, groupies, and a (sort of) daunting interview with young rock journalist William Miller.
