Roz Doyle

Grew up… in Bloomer, Wisc., a town far too small for a personality as large as Roz’s. As a child of divorce, Roz rejected her family’s values and wanted to make a different kind of life for herself.

Living… in Seattle, Wash. 

Profession… producer of the Dr. Frasier Crane Show on Seattle’s KACL 780AM radio station. Roz and Frasier make the perfect professional team, as her snarky wit provides the perfect antidote to Frasier’s stuffiness.

Interests… dating. Roz enjoys the single life, and she’ll be the first to tell you about her sex life. She doesn’t mind the disparaging remarks that Frasier and his brother Niles dish out. Roz is a free-spirited woman who’s looking for the right man, but intends to have plenty of fun along the journey.

Relationship Status… single. Roz knows that there’s no problem with just having a bit of fun, but she also wants to find the kind of love that she’s always dreamed of. That isn’t always easy for her: “Everything was going great until I said, ‘I love you, Ben,’ and then he got this look on his face like he’d taken a wrong turn in a really bad neighborhood.”

Challenge… facing the fact that she’s getting a bit older. Roz perpetually sees herself as a young, sexy woman, and has trouble accepting that the fountain of youth doesn’t actually exist. As she once put it, “When I die, I want it to be on my 100^th birthday, in my beach house on Maui, and I want my husband to be so upset that he has to drop out of college.”

Personality… fun, unpretentious, and honest. Roz keeps Frasier (somewhat) in line at KACL, always willing to tell him when he’s being a snob. Her sarcasm makes the offices of the Dr. Frasier Crane Show arguably more entertaining than the radio show itself.
