Character Analysis

Living… in the land of Amestris, in the capitol, Central City. Roy works for the military, though, so while he’s based in the city, he travels a fair amount.
Profession… State Alchemist for the military. With alchemy, people can create magical effects by “transmuting” a given substance to a different one. Roy is known as the Flame Alchemist, for his ability to create sparks with a snap of his fingers, and direct them through the air with lightning precision.
Interests… women, clothes, and being lazy. Roy is well-known for being a womanizer, and he definitely has the good looks to pull it off. Good thing he has a talent for putting off his work, otherwise he wouldn’t have time to flirt!
Relationship Status… single. Although just because he’s not in a long-term relationship doesn’t mean he can’t break a few hearts.
Challenge… taking down the military from the inside. While Roy appears to be a cocky layabout with little real influence, he’s actually put himself in a position to protect the innocent from the military’s attacks. He’s had to do some regrettable things, and he wants to make sure those things don’t ever repeat. In order to do that, he’s willing to climb all the way to the top.
Personality… layered. On the outside, he’s vain, over-confident, and kind of a clown, but much of that is a front. While these traits are part of his real personality, he’s also smart, stubborn, protective, and extremely ambitious. His intelligence allows him to stay two steps ahead of his enemies – and his friends – and his whole-hearted dedication to changing the world for the better makes him a powerful force. In the meantime, he’ll continue making stupid jokes, to put people off the scent. And because they’re funny.

The process went horribly wrong, leaving Al as a disembodied soul trapped in a suit of armor, and causing Ed to lose his arm and leg.
