Rio

Living… life as “Rio,” an alias he has taken on for a planned robbery of the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid. The mastermind behind the heist is a man who goes by The Professor, who has established rules that everyone must follow during the heist. One of the rules is that no one can reveal their real names. Because the team is not to get to know each other personally, they all selected city names as aliases. And they hide their faces with Salvador Dali masks.

Profession… cybercriminal. Rio started learning to code at the age of six and became a genius coder.  Before being recruited by The Professor, Rio participate in multiple cyber-attacks.

Relationship Status… falling for Tokyo, a fellow thief on the heist. Another rule of the heist is no relationships, but he can’t control his feelings for her. When he sees her walking, his heart pounds just knowing she is near him. 

Challenge… handling the tech side of the heist, including redirecting and monitoring surveillance in the Mint and hacking their computers. Although the heist is a challenge, it’s an even bigger challenge to get the respect of his fellow thieves. They think Rio is a weak link since he is the youngest on the team and can’t even properly hold a weapon. 

Personality… loyal, passionate and a bit naïve. His loyalty to the group is unwavering and he has a lot of love and energy to give. He will do anything to make the plan work and will never give up. As he jokes, “I only wave the white flag for Real Madrid.”
