Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up... with experiences that have scarred him for life. When Rigby was seven, his father ran off with the cleaning lady. Eventually, his mother died of a broken heart. Now every time he sees someone with a vacuum cleaner, he goes insane.

Living... alone. A man in his line of work doesn’t have time for a wife and kids.

Visiting... the town of Carlotta, which is a scary place. As he says, "Carlotta is the kind of town where they spell trouble t-r-u-b-i-l, and if you try to correct them, they kill you."

Profession... private detective. If you need a tough case solved, he’s your man– or woman if that’s required! Rigby came to Carlotta to investigate the death of a noted scientist, philanthropist, and cheesemaker. He was hired by his daughter, Juliet, who thinks he was murdered. She paid him $200 dollars in advance, which is so much money for him. As he says, "For that kind of money, I'd shoot my grandmother."

Relationship Status... attracted to Juliet who has a body that won’t quit. He’s trying not to mix business and pleasure, but he is starting to fall for her.

Challenge... solving the case, no matter how many killers may be involved.

Personality… zany and bumbling but determined. You may laugh the things he does, but hopefully he will get the last laugh when the case is solved.
