Living… In New York City where he works as a venture capitalist at a top firm. Rick’s work is demanding, so it’s a good thing he hired Charlie Young as his assistant. He promised Charlie that he will get a promotion if he works 24/7. But after several years of being Rick’s servant, it’s unclear if Rick is going to keep that promise.
Interests… fine liquor. Rick only wants the best, so he throws out any alcohol that costs less than $200.
Relationship Status… divorced from Kiki Otis. The divorce was not his idea, and he’s still angry about it.
Challenge… reentering the dating world. He’s now dating a gorgeous former ESPN reporter named Kristen. They first met in a stalled elevator. And then they ended up sitting next to each other at a baseball game, where they were pictured together on the “kissing cam.” Rick took that opportunity to kiss, and they’ve been together ever since. And what a coincidence—she also works in the same office building running an online sports journalism franchise. They’re both workaholics, but they’ve been working less lately.
Personality… cocky, self-involved, and ambitious. Rick struggles with maintaining a good relationship with others, whether it is his assistant Charlie, who he uses and demands at his disposal, or his ex-wife, who he obviously holds an extreme grudge against. He really needs to reevaluate his actions and drop his sky-high ego.
